1. Service Description

TaleemHouse is a homeschool tracking application for families, available on iOS, Android, and the web. It is operated by TaleemHouse ("TaleemHouse," "we," "us," or "our"), an independent company based in the United States.

TaleemHouse allows parents and guardians to track their children's education — including schedules, reading logs, Quran memorization, activities, portfolios, goals, and language learning — all in one place.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using TaleemHouse, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of TaleemHouse after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app.

3. Account Requirements

• Age: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. TaleemHouse is a tool for parents and guardians; children do not create accounts and do not directly interact with the service.
• Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
• Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@taleemhouse.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One account per person: Each individual may hold one account. Household owners may invite up to three helpers to share access to the household.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to TaleemHouse. No payment information is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, continued use of the service requires a paid subscription.

4.2 Family Plan

After the trial, TaleemHouse offers a Family plan billed on a monthly or annual basis. Current pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

• iOS: Subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase (App Store). Your subscription is managed by Apple and is subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
• Web: Subscription billing is currently handled through the App Store. A web subscription checkout may be offered later; if it is, we will update these Terms with the applicable payment terms first.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via Apple's subscription management on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to the service until that date.

4.4 Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law. Because subscriptions are currently processed through Apple (section 4.2), refund requests are handled by Apple under their standard process. If a web subscription option is offered in the future, we will review any such requests at info@taleemhouse.com on a case-by-case basis.

4.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period and will apply at your next renewal. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TaleemHouse only for its intended purpose: tracking the homeschool education of children in your household. You agree not to:

• Use TaleemHouse for any commercial purpose, including reselling access to others or using the service on behalf of multiple unrelated households.
• Attempt to circumvent, bypass, or disable the subscription paywall or any access controls.
• Share your account credentials with individuals outside your household or allow unauthorized parties to access your account.
• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the service.

Violation of these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

6. Your Data

• Ownership: You own the data you and your household enter into TaleemHouse, including your children's records, learning logs, and uploaded files. We store it on your behalf to provide the service.
• License to us: By using TaleemHouse, you grant TaleemHouse a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely as necessary to operate and improve the service.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the in-app Delete Account feature in Settings. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of the request.
• Data practices: Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Intellectual Property

The TaleemHouse name, logo, application design, and all software, features, and content created by TaleemHouse are owned by TaleemHouse and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use TaleemHouse's trademarks or copyrighted materials other than as necessary to use the service.

Your content — the data, records, and files you upload — remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your household's learning records or uploaded materials.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 Provided "As Is"

TaleemHouse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TaleemHouse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of TaleemHouse.

In no event shall TaleemHouse's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to your use of the service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to TaleemHouse in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8.3 Educational Use

TaleemHouse is a tracking and organization tool. It does not provide educational instruction, curriculum, or professional advice. You are responsible for the content of your children's education and for any decisions you make based on data recorded in the app.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by using the Delete Account feature in Settings or by contacting us at info@taleemhouse.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to TaleemHouse at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Service or if continued access poses a risk to other users or the integrity of the service. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be issued for any unused portion of a subscription.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability), 10 (Governing Law), and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of TaleemHouse shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
