About TaleemHouse
What it is and why it exists.
What is TaleemHouse?
TaleemHouse is an Islamic-themed tracker for parents. It gives you one place to follow your child's whole learning journey, both religious and academic: Quran memorization, Islamic studies, school subjects, activities, learning portfolios, and the memories along the way.
Why was TaleemHouse made?
Most learning tools cover only one side of a child's education. School apps track academics and ignore deen; Quran apps track hifz and ignore everything else. Parents end up juggling spreadsheets, notebooks, and memory. We built TaleemHouse so a parent can see the whole child in one place.
What does the name mean?
Taleem (تعليم) means education or instruction in Arabic. TaleemHouse is meant to be a home for your child's learning, where their deen and dunya sit together.
Is TaleemHouse affiliated with any madrasah, masjid, or organization?
No. TaleemHouse is an independent tool. It works alongside any teacher, madrasah, or masjid program you already use, but it isn't tied to any of them.
Is the content tied to a specific madhhab or school of thought?
No. TaleemHouse tracks what you teach. You define the subjects, lessons, and material, so it fits whatever approach your family follows.
Who it's for & use cases
Whether TaleemHouse fits your family.
Who is TaleemHouse for?
Parents who want a clear picture of how their child is learning. It started with homeschooling families and fits them closely, but it also works for parents whose children attend traditional or Islamic school, and for families who only want to track Quran.
Do I have to homeschool to use it?
No. If your child attends school, you can use TaleemHouse to track their Quran, Islamic studies, and the academic progress you care about at home. Homeschooling is one use case, not a requirement.
Can I use it just for Quran, with nothing else?
Yes. Many families will use TaleemHouse only as a Quran and hifz tracker. You add the subjects you want and ignore the rest.
Can I track more than one child?
Yes. Each child gets their own space, so siblings stay organized separately while you manage everything from one account.
My children are different ages. Does that work?
Yes. Because you define each child's subjects and lessons, a toddler learning short surahs and a teenager doing full hifz and algebra can both live in the same account.
Is it useful for homeschool record keeping or evaluations?
Yes. Logged lessons, activities, and portfolios give you an organized record you can reference for your own planning or for any reporting requirements in your area. Check your local rules, since requirements vary by state, province, and country.
Can grandparents, tutors, or a co-parent help track?
Shared access is on our roadmap. We'll confirm the details as we build, and waitlist members will hear first.
What you can track
The six areas TaleemHouse covers.
What can I actually track in TaleemHouse?
Six areas: Quran memorization, homeschool curriculum, Islamic studies, learning portfolios, activities, and memories. You can use all of them or just the ones you need.
How does Quran memorization tracking work?
You log each surah and ayah range as your child memorizes it. TaleemHouse keeps a running map of completed, in-progress, and upcoming portions, and lets you schedule revision (muraja'ah) so older hifz stays strong while new memorization is added.
What counts as Islamic studies?
Whatever you teach: aqeedah, fiqh, seerah, Arabic, duas, adab, and more. You define the subjects, and you can keep a running record of duas and surahs learned.
What goes in a learning portfolio?
Work samples, milestones, achievements, and notes. The portfolio is where a child's progress is captured over time, so it isn't lost.
What's the difference between a portfolio and the memories journal?
A portfolio holds work and milestones. The memories journal holds the moments: a first completed surah, a breakthrough in reading, a special day. One captures progress, the other captures the story.
Why track activities separately from lessons?
Activities like field trips, projects, sports, and clubs capture learning that doesn't fit a lesson log. Tracking them gives a fuller, truer picture of your child's education, and you can connect an activity to a subject so a museum trip counts toward history.
Can I add my own subjects and categories?
Yes. TaleemHouse is built around the idea that you bring your own structure. You add the subjects, units, and lessons that match how your family learns.
Does TaleemHouse include prayer times or a Quran reader?
Yes, as helpful extras alongside the tracking. You get daily prayer times for your location, a built-in Quran reader, and a simple Quran reading log. They support the rhythm of the day, but keeping track of your child's learning is still the heart of the app.
How it works
Curriculum, setup, and day-to-day use.
Do I need to follow a specific curriculum?
No. TaleemHouse is curriculum-agnostic. You bring whatever you already use, whether that's a boxed curriculum, a custom plan, a madrasah syllabus, or a mix, and organize it your way.
Does TaleemHouse provide lessons or content?
TaleemHouse is a tracking and organizing tool, not a curriculum. It records and structures what you teach rather than supplying the teaching itself. Any built-in helpers we add later will be optional.
How long does setup take?
We're designing setup to be quick: add a child, pick the areas you want to track, and start logging. You can begin with one area, like Quran, and add more whenever you're ready.
Will it tell me what to do each day?
TaleemHouse follows your plan rather than dictating one. It helps you see what's done, what's due for revision, and what's next, so you decide each day with a clear picture.
Can it schedule Quran revision automatically?
Yes. You set revision cycles for memorized portions, and TaleemHouse surfaces what's due so older hifz doesn't fade.
Pricing & availability
Cost, launch timing, and early access.

Pricing isn't finalized. We'll share it before launch, and waitlist members will be the first to know and will receive early-access benefits.
Will there be a free version?
We haven't locked the plans yet. We want TaleemHouse to be reachable for families, and we'll publish the details clearly before launch.

Privacy & your data
How your family's information is handled.
What do you do with my email from the waitlist?
We use it to contact you about TaleemHouse: early access and launch news. We don't sell it or share it for unrelated marketing.
Will my children's data be private?
Protecting family data is a priority as we build. We'll publish a clear privacy policy before launch that explains exactly what's stored, how it's protected, and your choices. We'll keep this answer updated as those details are finalized.
Can I export or delete my data?
We intend to give you control over your own data, including export and deletion. We'll confirm the specifics in the privacy policy at launch.
Where is my data stored?
We'll document our storage and security setup in the privacy policy before launch. If you have specific requirements, tell us when you join the waitlist and we'll factor it into our planning.
Access & technical
Devices, platforms, and offline use.
What devices will TaleemHouse work on?
TaleemHouse is web-based, so it runs in a browser on phones, tablets, and computers. Any family with internet access can use it. We'll share plans for dedicated mobile apps as we get closer to launch.
Is there a mobile app?
The web version works on mobile browsers. Native iOS and Android apps are something we're considering, and waitlist members will hear about them first.
Does it work offline?
Offline support is on our list to evaluate. We'll be clear about what's supported at launch rather than promise it early.
Is TaleemHouse available in my country?
Yes. Because it's web-based, families anywhere with internet can use it, including across the US, UK, Canada, and beyond.
What languages does it support?
The interface launches in English, with Arabic terms used naturally where they belong (surah, ayah, muraja'ah, and so on). Additional language support is something we'll weigh based on what waitlist families ask for.
Still have a question?
Join the waitlist and tell us what you'd want from TaleemHouse. Early members help shape what we build first, inshaAllah.
No spam, ever. Just the occasional update and a heads-up when we launch.
